Using the most updated approaches and psychological assessments, Land of Opportunities – Mental Health & Learning Center provides children, adolescents and adults with the appropriate Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation. With the experience of our multidisciplinary therapists, clients are provided with tests suitable for their practical concerns, and detailed reports are offered upon completion. With the clients’ collaboration, treatment plans are built in order to implement proper interventions and enhance each individual’s existing strengths.
LDPA is proud to announce the new use and implementation of ‘Pearson’ research-based digital assessments and tools which would allow our licensed clinical and educational psychologists to administer different diagnostic assessments virtually, such as: IQ tests, Achievements tests, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalulia and mental health assessments.
The diagnosis process needs two to three sessions in which the LDPA multidisciplinary team will get to know: the child and his family, his clinical history, social – emotional development, academic achievement, behavioral or academic problems, eating and sleeping habits, current temperament, any symptoms of anxiety, depression or behavioral disorders, previous and given treatments (if any), Co-morbidities, fears and how these symptoms are affecting the individual\’s family, social, academic life and future.
In the course of their work, the LDPA multidisciplinary team will diagnose the condition, determine the lagging skills and set the therapeutic intervention mechanism. The results of evaluation and diagnosis are discussed with parents and children. All aspects related to this process is discussed with the student’s school or university (if needed) and appropriate solutions and treatment plans are proposed and presented.
The duration of therapeutic intervention varies depending on the situation. The specialized team working with the child may need 10 treatment sessions or the individual may need a long-term therapeutic intervention that may range from three months to one year to reach the desired results (Parents can benefit from reduced prices available for therapy plans).
